Hannaford: Organic oatmeal for .50 less than same size regular in same store. Not a sale price, per se', as Hannaford advertises everyday low prices. No end date listed for this price.

How Does It Work?
I visit many stores on a daily/weekly/monthly basis for my various jobs. Because I find I am looking at almost every price tag, I know where virtually every product is located, what's new, and what certain items cost on average over time. I end up habitually doing this everywhere I go, even on 'off' time. I get to know when a sale price is good, not just a teaser. However, there are 'out of this world' prices on items that most people pass right by every day, but send my alert on overtime. I used to send messages to friends and family, so they wouldn't miss out, but I thought there might be a few more people within 30 miles of the 01201 zip code who would really appreciate the heads up.
When I find a really incredible deal like these, I will post it here. It will show the product and the ticket price and I will note which chain is selling it. Sales will mostly be time sensitive as items are either clearanced, discontinued, or on a slash sale that turns over on Thursday of each week, though some go longer. Note that some locations never have sales, I just find their normal price better than their competitors. Please verify with your local store to ensure they have the same product at the same price at your location.

The upside? You get an item you need/want at an unbelievably low price and the store gets more shelf space for the next up and coming thing. The downside? We are in one of the few test markets in the country, so we get to try many new flavors and styles that the rest of the country will never see. Unfortunately, the discontinued flavors or styles are just that... discontinued due to not reaching market benchmarks. Other times, seasonal preferences are the reason for the quick reduction. So, if you like it, this is a good instance to stock up!
